Seed sown last September germinated well and the cornfield annuals started flowering in May 2016. Below are some photos that were all taken on the wildflower area of the recreation ground. Thanks to Froyle Parish Council for purchasing the seed. Preparing the ground took 14 individuals over 100h worth of volunteer time. The area had its first cut at the end of July. This will allow the perennial wildflowers that take longer to establish some room to grow.
In addition to the wildflowers present in the seed mix, other plant species grew without any assistance. Do send us photos of what you see on the wildflower area by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
